Julie Robbins grew up in the Midwest, where open fields and big skies allowed her the space and freedom to see far away and beyond herself, to a day where she would sing for lots of people. She saw that picture in her mind when she was just 4 years old, and it was at that very age that her mother had her doing just that -- singing for people. It helped having musical people around her, from family to teachers. And it helped even more that she was just born with that certain something -- that innate ability to make a difference through her voice, conveying the truest essence of a song. One can call it a performer with real ability to sing well and express herself, but it is more than that -- it is a gift from above.

This dynamic songstress has done everything from the church choirs she knew as a youngster to chorale soloing and harmonizing. She wrote her first song when she was twelve years old. Musical theatre was a blast for her, as well as working as a singer in a piano bar act. She's handled the job of background vocals for various artists and bands, both in clubs and recording studios, many times over.

She quit college to join a rock band that seemed destined for greater things. She pursued songwriting and collaboration. She gained a tremendous amount of stage, both club and concert, experience. She has done tours and opened for a wide range of nationally and internationally known artists and bands, such as Triumph, Little River Band, Sammy Hagar, Michael Bolton and The Beach Boys to name just a few.

With a natural fine-tuned voice, she has artfully blended her classical training with various influences and background; she can sing with the angelic style of Eva Cassidy, her love of classic rock with Ann Wilson, the soulful bluesy-ness of Etta James, the country comfort of Patsy Cline, and the smooth jazz of Peggy Lee.

Julie is an engaging performer -- from having great moves to shooting the breeze with the audience that she feels so comfortable with. And so it goes and so it shall remain -- her love of singing for people.
